Group Parent Coaching

7-week group parent coaching is similar to the Behavioral Parent Training therapy, in fact you learn the same skills but in a small group setting with 4-6 families across 7 weeks. Behavioral Parent Training is a type of behavioral therapy that teaches parents how to improve their child’s behavior, emotion regulation, and family relationships. Behavioral Parent Training is for children ages 4-12 years old. This treatment involves meeting with Dr. Emily on Zoom with a few other families. She teaches a structured and strategic program to improve your child’s behavior for good. Importantly, your child does not attend these meetings. Behavioral Parent Training is supported by decades of research and clinical trials by child psychologists.

The main difference between group parent coaching and the Behavioral Parent Training that is one-on-one is that in the group moves on after each skill is taught with only one week to practice that former week’s content with your child. In the one-on-one sessions with Dr. Emily, she does not tend to move on until parents have mastered the strategies taught in the previous session.
